‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ draws inspiration from George RR Martin’s novella ‘The Hedge Knight’. The story revolves around the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall. He is a noble and brave knight, played by Peter Claffey.

His squire, the young and very clever Egg, is portrayed by Dexter Sol Ansell. Together, this unlikely pair embarks on a series of adventures.

Set nearly a century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’ and another hundred years after ‘House of the Dragon’, the series promises to explore Westeros. This period has rarely come to the screen.

The plot follows Dunk and Egg as they journey across the realm. They eventually reach a grand competition. There they encounter members of the Targaryen dynasty. Among them are Prince Aerion Targaryen, Prince Baelor Targaryen, and Prince Maekar Targaryen. Their fates intertwine with Dunk and Egg’s adventures.

According to the official synopsis, “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
